OLD WHITE MOVE INTO THE FINAL EIGHT OF THE 2002 USA RUGBY NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Newport, RI (Saturday, May 11) - 15th seed Atlanta Old White Rugby advanced to the Elite Eight of the 2002 USA Rugby Nationals today, with a hard fought, very physical upset win over the number two seed Chicago Woodsmen, 18-14 today.

Old White tries were scored by DeJager Kruger and Darren Claasen, with Tiaan Shutte converting.

Old White faces the winner of the Newport, RI (#7) vs. Snake River (#10) match, Sunday at 1:30pm for the pool finals. Winner goes on to the Final Four in Pittsburgh, PA, June 1-2.

In Forth Worth, TX: San Fernando Valley (#16 seed) upset Dallas (#1 seed) 23-8 and Buffalo (#9 seed) upset Washington Irish (#8 seed) 25-20

In Newport, RI: New Haven, CT (#5 seed) easily defeated Las Vegas (#12 seed) 43-20
